Geetanjali is a trained wildlife enthusiast and has received varied training from authorities such as BNHS (Mumbai), WWF (Mumbai), and Jungle Lodges ( Bangalore).Geetanjali Dhar was selected by Google India for their WeOW initiative (Women entrepreneurs on the web) when it was launched in India and a mentorship program by Cherie Blair Foundation, United Kingdom. As her work also involves interacting and dealing with rural communities, she decided to complete her course - Understanding Rural India through Azim Premji University in the year 2016.
She is the Founder of IT Nature Club which markets its services through the
website www.itnatureclub.com .Her passion for her work and her dedication to promoting Eco-tourism was recognized by AWAKE in the year 2007 when she was awarded the Best Women Entrepreneur in Eco-Tourism.
She is Post-Graduate in Clinical Psychology .She is also the Managing Trustee of IT Nature Trust (www.itnaturetrust.org) through which she has made many positive interventions through livelihood initiatives like creating homestays, lighting up villages where power is still a long way to come, social entrepreneurship projects, and bird surveys in the remote regions of India. She is also the creator of e-commerce platform www.crafttrails.in to support the handloom and handmade crafts industry , a cause close to her heart.
An active Rotarian , she is the Charter Secretary of Rotary E-Club of E-Connect.
